We are looking for a VP Marketing to join our team and fuel our next phase of growth.
We’re a fast-growing team of experienced tech, finance and data science specialists, based in London and Paris, at the early stage of our adventure. Our product addresses a massive opportunity - fixing B2B payments. We already have a list of stellar clients and we’re now embarking on a rapid scale-up journey across Western Europe. We’re well funded too, having just completed our Series A.
Now, the serious business bit…
We’re bringing B2B commerce into the 21st century by modernising the way businesses buy from each other. In short, we make it easier and safer for merchants to offer credit terms to their business customers. A bit like a “buy now pay later” for B2B.
Almost 60% of B2B trade currently takes place on credit terms. Yet, current processes for offering trade credit are outdated and not fit for the digital age. We solve these issues by offering B2B merchants a powerful set of tools, allowing them to offer credit terms to their business customers instantly through a frictionless checkout experience. Merchants that have already integrated with us see on average a 40% increase in revenues... and we’re only just getting started.
Hokodo solves a massive issue for B2B trade in general, and particularly for B2B online trade. B2B trade represents $12 TN p.a. in Western Europe. $680 BN of these sales happen online, generating a $15 BN revenue opportunity for Hokodo, which is set to double every 5 years.
About the role:
We are seeking a unique individual with the strategic, analytical, and tactical skills to define our category in the market, build a world-class marketing team and drive profitable growth to $50m ARR over the next 3 years (and beyond!).
As VP Marketing, you will build awareness of our product across industries with a core focus on attracting and onboarding new customers through a strong integrated marketing strategy.
Being a seasoned professional, you are comfortable working across the full lifecycle of marketing projects from idea to execution. You are a strategic thinker with a fresh perspective on how marketing can integrate with sales and product. You enjoy managing and growing relationships in a network of agencies, partners and customers and you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves when required.
You'll be leading our growth strategy by:
-You will develop growth strategies in collaboration with the sales & product teams to meet company growth objectives
-You’ll provide insight and strategic leadership, rapidly building market share, accelerating demand, and growing the flow of well qualified leads to our growing SDR teams
-You will lead and develop the marketing team and you will be responsible for developing your team into great marketers and attracting top talent. You will blueprint the marketing function, striking the right balance between in-house and outsourcing
-You will drive marketing operations to meet commercial objectives, particularly in relation to lead generation
-You will increase the company's brand awareness, bringing our products and services to market. Drive core positioning, product marketing and go-to-market initiatives
-You will enable continuous performance improvement in all marketing, customer engagement, acquisition, and retention activities
-You will continuously experiment with new growth tactics and you will run / oversee campaigns across multiple channels and platforms
-8+ years marketing experience in a similar role or at fast-paced scale ups
-You have experience building world-class paytech / fintech / SaaS marketing teams at scale
-A proven track record of demand generation and lead generation for a successful B2B tech business and can demonstrate the impact you delivered across direct and indirect channels
-Experience of leading a marketing team and developing talent
-Robust experience of defining and optimizing digital acquisition strategies
-You are highly analytical, evidence driven and product savvy
-Bonus points if you have track record of building a brand, market share, and shaping a story and vision behind the brand
